Three days of keynotes, contributed talks and posters in Ohrid, on the shore of one of Europe's oldest lakes. After nine editions across Anatolia, the tenth is planned as the first to be held abroad — widening the circle without losing the community that built the series.

The conference opens on the afternoon of Tuesday 29 June and closes on Thursday 1 July, so participants can travel on the Tuesday and depart on Friday 2 July. Those who wish to stay on for the weekend are welcome to do so.

We are in discussion with lakeside conference hotels in Ohrid able to host the plenary, talks, posters and the exhibition under one roof. The confirmed venue will be announced here.
Ohrid itself needs little introduction: one of Europe's oldest lakes, a walled old town that has kept its churches and manuscripts for a thousand years, and a waterfront made for the conversations that happen between sessions — the reason a meeting here tends to be remembered long after the last talk. Abstracts are reviewed on a rolling basis rather than all at once after the deadline, so you do not have to wait until the deadline. Decisions are normally issued within about 20 days of submission — early enough to arrange institutional approval and travel funding in good time.
That is the intention: no student, regional or category-based distinctions, with the only variable being how early you register.

North Macedonia is currently visa-free for holders of ordinary Turkish passports, as well as for EU/Schengen citizens and much of the surrounding region. Please check the requirements for your own nationality; the secretariat can provide invitation letters on request.
Ohrid has its own airport with connections to Istanbul and several European cities; Skopje and Tirana are alternative gateways with road transfers. Detailed travel guidance will be published with the final programme.
